Dr. Saffer has 15 years of experience in cell and molecular biology research and five years of experience in technology transfer.. Prior to joining TEDCO in December 2001, Dr. Saffer was a Licensing Specialist in the Office of Business Development at the University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute, and before this a technology transfer intern at the Office of Research and Development at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. At TEDCO she is responsible for overseeing the University Technology Development Fund and the University Patent Support Fund. She also serves on the Baltimore Advisors for the MIT Enterprise Forum.
Dr. Saffer has a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Virginia, a MS in Biology from Northwestern University, and a BS in Biology from the University of Rochester.
